Payment & Ticketing

Conditions:

  • For bookings made outside of 31 days from the train's departure date, we require payment within 3 days from your confirmed invoice.
  • For bookings made inside 31 days from the train's departure date, we require full payment the same day you receive your confirmed invoice.
  • If payment is not received in the above time frames Rail Plus holds the right to cancel your booking.
  • Discounted Child and Senior fares are available on weekend services only.
  • If you are a no show for one of your reserved trains all of your other reservations will be cancelled.
  • Important: Please allow a 48 hour turnaround time for any reservations or changes/amendments 5+ days prior to your departure from Australia. If within 5 days, changes must be made locally.
  • Saver Fares are non-refundable

We also recommend that you take out suitable travel insurance to cover (as a minimum) the costs incurred if you cancel your trip.

Amendment

**Amendment Policy in the USA: Tickets can be exchanged locally, by paying the difference between the fare purchased and the new fare.

  • Please note when cancelling or amending a booking with more than one passenger the whole group must be cancelled and rebooked and costs are subject to change.

Lost ticket Policy (not applicable to E-Tickets)

  • If ticket is lost, the passenger will need to pay for a new ticket. Replacement tickets cannot be issued.
  • Passenger may apply for a refund of the lost ticket. To do so, you will need to print out, complete and sign the Lost Ticket Refund Application Form. Please mail the completed form to the address indicated on the form. You may not apply for a refund online.
